Tottenham's Desire To Sign Wilfried Zaha Has Been Put Off Due To Ivory Coast Switch

It is not news that Tottenham has been highly linked with a move for Wilfried Zaha, who has caught the eye with some strong showings for Crystal Palace this season. According to The Telegraph, Spurs are set to pull out of the race to sign the player because of his decision to play for  Ivory Coast.
Zaha switched his international allegiance from England to the country of his birth and represented the Elephants at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. Palace want a fee of around 30-million pounds for the West African player and it is believed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is not will to part with that kind of money for the player.

Zaha is likely to feature for the Ivory Coast at future AFCON tournaments and would then miss a large chunk of the season every two years and this might be the reason why Tottenham want to pull out.
