West Brom have begun moves to sign former Chelsea captain John Terry.
Tony Pulis confirmed his interest in bringing the ex-England skipper to
The Hawthorns earlier this year, and has now joined a battle with local rivals Aston Villa to land the 36-year-old.
Sources from Sky News
reported on Monday that Villa were keen on Terry and the Championship club's
manager Steve Bruce held informal talks with him over a round of golf over
the weekend.
Terry is believed to be open to the idea of moving to Villa
Park but he also has options with Premier League sides and is confident he can
still perform at the highest level. His wages, however, are expected to be an
issue for both Villa and the Baggies.
