According to the new president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) Roberto Fabbricini Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is eager to return to his previous job as Italy manager.
Conte coached the Italian national team between 2014-16 before moving into his current role as Chelsea head coach. The Italian led Chelsea to the title last season but they are now 18 points behind leaders Manchester City and suffered a 3-0 home defeat by Bournemouth on Wednesday.
There are suggestions Conte is unhappy in his role amid disagreements with the club's hierarchy , predominantly over transfers.
When asked which names he was considering to fill the role, Fabbricini said: "The names are the ones you know. Roberto Mancini was in Rome but we didn't contact him, Conte seems eager to wear the national shirt again, Ancelotti opens and closes the door and Ranieri isn't out either. No one is in pole position."
