Alan Pardew to remain in charge at West Brom

Alan Pardew will remain in charge of West Brom for next weekend's game at home to Leicester City as members of Albion's board met on Saturday night and held further discussions on Sunday morning to discuss what is best for the club going forward.

It was decided, similarly to last weekend, that sticking with Pardew is the best option for now. This is largely because there are no obvious alternatives to go with, but also because the improved performance from the team in Saturday's defeat at Watford, has convinced Pardew's bosses that the players have not turned against the manager.

The club's current predicament at the bottom of the Premier League table, has left new chief executive Mark Jenkins believing it will be very difficult to attract the sort of calibre of candidate the club would want.
