#SayNoToNipostFee: After backlash, Minister informs NIPOST to pause new regulation

Yesterday there was outrage after NIPOST sent out a communication increasing the licence fee for logistics companies in Nigeria, see below.  

Since then the internet has been on fire with celebrities and other Nigerians calling out NIPOST for what is seen as an attempt to kill small businesses. A #SayNoToNipostFee Twitter trend was also started. 

After a lot of backlash, The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy has informed NIPOST to pause the move. See below:

Pls @NipostNgn, our attention has been drawn to an increase of licence fee, which was not part of the regulation I earlier APPROVED for you. Your Chair and PMG were YESTERDAY contacted to put the implementation on hold and send a report to our ministry by Monday. Best wishes!
