Again, Australian promoter duped by fake Wizkid agent

An Australian promoter has fallen victim of yet another fraudster impersonating Wizkid’s management. The unsuspecting promoter has also gone ahead to pay $5,000 (N1m) as part of the agreed sum to the fake agents who claimed to represent the pop star for a scheduled Australian tour.

The promoter became worried when he couldn’t reach the impersonators again, and when it also became obvious the artiste will not be available for the planned tour.

HBO Has Renewed High Maintenance For Season 2

 

Following the show’s recent HBO debut, the comedy series High Maintenance has been renewed for a second season and  it was announced by Casey Bloys, president, HBO Programming.

Bloys said “The response to the new episodes exceeded all of our expectations, Ben and Katja are brilliant, unconventional storytellers and we’re excited to see what they dream up for us in our second season.”

The Italian Job is the latest feature film headed to television as NBC is planning an Italian Job TV series, based on the 1969 heist classic and its subsequent 2003 remake. Scripted by Troy Kennedy Martin, the original Italian Job was a Paramount Pictures release directed by Peter Collinson. It stars Michael Caine as Charlie Croker, an expert thief who pulls together a team to heist four million dollars of gold in the Italian Alps.

Molly Parker has become attached to the role of Maureen in Netflix’s 10-episode Lost in Space reboot. News of Parker’s casting arrives only a week after we brought you confirmation that Black Sails star Toby Stephens had landed the part of brilliant astrophysicist and commander John Robinson in Netflix’s redo. Taylor Russell rounds out the preliminary cast as Judy, John and Maureen’s daughter and fellow spacefaring explorer. On the other side of the lens, Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless are the screenwriters attached, while Zack Estrin has been elected showrunner by Netflix.
