British No 1
Andy Murray and world No 1 Novak Djokovic are set to do battle
again in Montreal after the latter overcame Japanese Kei Nishikori to reach the final of the Roger Cup.
Murray whom
was expected to have a very difficult game with the Japanese shocked everyone
as he rounded up the match after an hour and five minutes. At first it looked
like the semi-final would match expectations, with both players breaking the
other inside the first five games, but once the Scot went 4-2 ahead there was
only going to be one winner. Murray sealed the first set 6-3 and then he bombard Nishikori off the court 6-0 in the
second to
set up the clash with Djokovic.
Djokovic on the other hand had earlier placed
himself closer to a fifth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title of the year after
cruising past Jeremy Chardy of
France 6-4 6-4.
The world No
1 needed just 37 minutes to wrap up the opening set and he went on to seal the
match in an hour and 20 minutes, despite needing treatment to his forearm
during a changeover.
