The list consists
of great players who lost their temper and have done some crazy
"things" for the sake of the game. Things they would never imagined
to have done but for the exception of an offender, who played for the most
successful club in England and now plying his trade for the most successful
club in Spain for the past 10years.... You really want to know his name? I will make it known soon. So
let's start from the bottom.
10. Oliver Kahn: Sure you would remember the name, one of the best, if not the
best keeper of his generations. He kept for Germany and Bayern Munich, but
before he retired, he scored with his hand! Yeah, he went to the opposing team
box to score for his team, but rather than use his head he used his hand but
the goal didn't stand, it was disallowed, the match was Bayern Munich against Hansa
Rostockon 3 March 2001. With his Bayern Munich team losing 2–3 in the final
minutes, he sneaked into the area during a corner kick, jumped up, and punched
the ball into the opponent’s net. He immediately received a red card, which
dismissed him from the game.9. Kieron Dyer and Lee Bowyer: Two players, you wondering, this two players playing for same team, Newscastle fought themselves on the pitch and both were sent off, but why on earth did they fight? The referee gave them the red card so as to continue their fights outside the pitch. The fight occurred in 2 April, 2005, the reason for the fight between the two players was because of some insults Bowyer said at him that pushed him over the edge. Quoting Kieron “We were playing the game, he came short and wanted the ball and I passed to someone else," but they have patched up things and moved on.
8. Kieran Gibbs and Ox Chamberlain: It’s funny, when a player committed a foul and another player is penalized. This occurred when Arsenal took on Chelsea on 22, March 2014. The sending off was because Chamberlain used his hand in stopping a ball which was already heading outside. The ref, Andre Marriner mistakenly gave Gibbs the red card, turned a deaf ear to Ox telling him, he committed the offence not Gibbs. This will not be so funny to Arsenal fans, the ref has apologized to Gibbs and he got no match suspension.
7. Eric Cantona: who would forget his famous kung fu kick style launched to crystal palace's fan Matthew Simmons. On January 25 1995, The then-Manchester United forward Eric Cantona was sent off against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and, on his way to the dressing room, he then kung-fu kicked a home supporter. He spent three-and-a-half hours in jail, missed eight months of football and did 120 hours of community service. Cantona reacted angrily to abuse from a Palace fan after he was sent off during the match at Selhurst Park
6. Diego Maradona: Maradona during his player days was a great player, with his wicked left foot, he was the "baddest" but he was caught up in the cocaine saga. That aside, he was also known as the man with the "Hand of God" which was scored by striking the ball with his hand. Maradona was coyly evasive, describing it as "a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God." It became known as the "Hand of God". Ultimately, on 22 August 2005 Maradona acknowledged on his television show that he had hit the ball with his hand purposely, and no contact with his head was made, and that he immediately knew the goal was illegitimate. This became known as an international fiasco in World Cup history. The goal stood, much to the wrath of the English players.
5. Josip Simunic: That name will ring a bell to Graham Poll and Australian fans. The Croatians played the Australians in the first round games in the 2006 world cup held in Germany. The Croatian number 3 was given three yellow cards for separate offences and was finally sent off by the referee Graham Poll in the 93rd minutes, after been given yellow cards in the 61st minute for a foul on Australian Harry Kewell, also in the 90th minute, Poll held up a yellow card in front of Šimunić for a foul, but did not follow it with a red card, as is required upon a second yellow card and got the number 3 yellow cards in 93rd minute, after Poll had blown the final whistle, Šimunić approached Poll angrily and gave him a push. Poll thus issued Šimunić with a 3rd yellow card and also showed him the red card.
4. Barbados Vs Grenada: This was a match played at the Barbados National Stadium in Saint Michael. The match started off routinely, and Barbados scored two goals, establishing the two-goal winning margin they needed. In the 83rd minute, however, the game changed when Grenada scored a goal. This late goal would take Grenada through to the finals unless Barbados could score again. Barbados attempted to score for the next few minutes, but because they were unable to, they switched to an alternate strategy, of tying up the game so that they could try to achieve the two-goal margin in extra-time. In the 87th minute they stopped attacking, and the defender Sealy and the goalkeeper Horace Stoute passed the ball between each other before intentionally scoring an own goal.
Now the game was at 2–2, with just three minutes of normal time left. The Grenadian players caught on to Barbados's plan, and realized that they would advance in the tournament by scoring a goal in either net. This left the match in the highly unusual position of no clear side of the field for one team versus the other, but rather one team trying to score a goal in either net, and the other team trying to defend both. For the next three minutes, Barbadian players successfully defended both sides. Still tied at 2−2, the game went on to extra-time, where
the winning "Golden Goal" would count double — so Barbados only had to score once to qualify for the 1994 Caribbean Cup. Thorne scored the winner for Barbados and they advanced to the next round.
3. Uraguay vs Ghana: Uruguay vs Ghana was a football match between Uruguay and Ghana that was played on 2 July at Soccer City in Johannesburg, South Africa. This quarterfinal match was the second round of the knockout phase of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Just before halftime, Ghana's Sulley Muntari scored the game's first goal on a 35-yard shot that curved into the left-hand corner. Diego Forlán tied the game in the 55th minute with a 25-yard free kick into the top corner. The game was tied 1–1 after regulation and went to extra time. At the end of extra time Uruguay's Luis Suárez controversially and blatantly blocked the shot with his hands off of the goal line to save what would have been the game winner. Ghana was awarded a penalty kick and Suárez was sent off. Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty kick off the crossbar and the game went into a shootout. Uruguay won the shootout 4–2 and Ghana was eliminated from the tournament. After the match Suarez was labeled a villain and a cheat, but was also called a hero for his self-sacrifice. African's especially Ghana's would never forgive him
2. Luis Suarez:
Suárez has been the source of much controversy throughout his career. As well as
his 2010 World Cup goal-line handball, he has. also bitten three opponents, the
latest being Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup, the
first man he bite was PSV's Otman Bakkal on the shoulder during a 0–0
draw, he played for Ajax that time and he was suspended for two games which was later increased to seven matches and also fined an undisclosed amount, which the club said they would donate to a "good cause" it happened On 20 November 2010, the second player her bite was Suárez bit Branislav Ivanovic. It was not noticed by the officials, and Suárez scored an equalizer in injury time. The bite prompted UK Prime Minister David Cameron to call on the FA to take a hard line with Suárez: the FA charged him with violent conduct and he was fined an
undisclosed sum by his club. Contrary to claims from Suárez, Ivanović did not accept an apology has been accused of and admitted to diving and the English
Football Association found him guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra, a decision Suárez disputes.

1. Zinedine
Zidane : It was 19 minutes into the extra time of the final match of the 2006
world cup when Zinedine Zidane, one of the best soccer players of all time,
left the whole world in awe. In one sudden move, the French head butted Marco Materazzi
of Italy for allegedly hurling spiteful words at him. It was later discovered
through interviews that Marco Materazzi had insulted Zidane's sister, which led
to Zidane's heightened anger and reaction. In 2010, Zidane said that he would
"rather die than apologize" to Materazzi for the head butt in the
final, but also admitted that he "could never have lived with
himself" had he been allowed to remain on the pitch and help France win
the match. He later said in an interview that "If you look at the fourteen
red cards I had in my career, twelve of them were a result of provocation. This
isn’t justification, this isn’t an excuse, but
my passion, temper and blood made me react." That all, hope you enjoyed it? Well Zidane I feel you bro, I won't take any nonsense from anybody abuses my family... wise words from the old man.. So what are your favourite craziest moments? If not included here, drop them in the comment box and will gladly add them in subsequent edition.
