UEFA Champions League Returns, 20 goals Scored On First Night Of Matchday 1

Football fans across the globe witnessed a beautiful night of football yesterday as the UEFA Champions League Returns.

The elite competition for the elite clubs in Europe made a return yesterday night as one of the finalist for last season Juventus recorded a win over the blue boys from Manchester in the round of matches of macthday 1.

World Footballer of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo became the competition all time goalscorer as his hat-trick ensured that Real Madrid had a fine start to their campaign as they recorded a 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk. Manchester United was beaten as they mark their return to the competition but that wasn't the only worry for the manager, defender Luke Shaw suffered a double leg fracture.

Laurent Blanc says Di Maria can score more goals after he scored his first goal for the French Champions. PSG recorded a 2-0 win over Malmo with Edinson Cavani adding to the first half goal from the former Manchester United player. Antoine Griezmann was the match-winner for Atletico Madrid as he scored the two goals against Galatasary making sure Diego Simeone team started the competition on a winning note.
