A weekend of draws, hat-tricks
and home wins, goals were scored with reckless, 19 goals were scored in ten center
as the Glo Premier League gradually round up with 6 rounds to go. We bring to
you the match review for the past weekend.
DOLPHINS 0-0 FC IFEANYI UBAH
Dolphins were unable secure a
win over the resilient Anambra Warriors side at the Liberation Stadium, Port
Harcourt on Sunday and they have added to their relegation woes by their
failure to claim maximum points. The Rivers side are still in the relegation
zone. Dolphins are 17TH on the log with 35 points from 32 games while FC
Ifeanyi Ubah are 11TH on the table with 44 points from 32 matches.
3SC 0-0 BAYELSA UNITED
The Oluyole Warriors failed

Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday. 3SC are still however in the top 10 despite the
setback.
GIWA 0-0 KANO PILLARS
The battle of 5th place team against
the 6th place team saw a compact game as the Jos-based side dominated the
reigning league champions in the early stages of the match. The home side
created decent chances in the game but they were complacent and wasteful in
front of goal. Pillars keeper, Yusuf Mohammed produced fantastic saves as he
also saved Charles Henlong penalty kick. Giwa FC will seek to continue their quest to qualify for the continent at the end of the season
after they had drawn in Nnewi against FC Ifeanyi Ubah the previous weekend. They
will be facing Dolphins this weekend against Dolphins they will fancy their
chances of re-launching themselves to the top three. Pillars that may not
retain their league title this season after ruling over the domestic league
scene for the past three seasons. They are 12points off the league leaders, Enyimba.

point.

that lifted his club over Sunshine on the league table.
EL KANEMI WARRIORS 2-0 SHARKS
The Borno Army thrashed the
Blue Angels in Katsina on Sunday to move closer to cementing another season in
the topflight. They are in their third season in the NPFL after they returned
in 2013 after some time in the lower division.
WIKKI TOURISTS 1-0 FC TARABA
The Bauchi side have added to
the misery of the relegation haunted FC Taraba after they piped them 1-0 on

HEARTLAND 2-1 ENYIMBA
The Naze Millionaires played
their best game of the season so far at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on
Sunday where they beat league leaders, Enyimba 2-1 in a highly charged Oriental
Derby encounter. Heartland scored first through Fortune Omoniwari who netted in
the 40TH minute through a fine free kick but Enyimba leveled on the
stroke of half time when Markson Ojobo scored from the penalty spot. Centre referee
Benjamin Odey from FCT had spotted an infringement in the 18 yard box. Before
then, Enyimba had lost one of their defenders, Ifeanyi Anaemena to a red card after
he received his second yellow card of the tie off a bad tackle on a Heartland player.
Heartland scored a second goal in the 65TH minute through Emeka Ogbugh who danced
past two Enyimba defenders before unleashing a terrific angular shot that left Chijioke
Ejiogu in goal for the People’s Elephant stranded.

minute before Dare Ojo added the second in the 64TH minute from the spot kick.

the goal arrears in the 65TH through Aniekpeno Udoh. 682 goals have now been
