The Great Moments Emenike Gave Nigerians

Two resignation of two top guns from the national team isn't what the national team wants at this moment in time, Emmanuel Emenike, just yesterday night took to instagram to announce his decision to end his international career as he joined Vincent Enyeama as past heros of the country as they wish not to partake further in the rebuilding process in which the Head coach Sunday Oliseh has embarked on. Emenike called it quit with Nigeria spending five years as a Nigerian player which won him the highest goal scorer at the 2013 Nations Cup which the country lifted after 19years drought.
After the tournament he has only score twice for the national team ever since, the goals came during the first-leg of last round of the World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia, he scored twice to give the Super Eagles a 2–1 lead going into the second-leg. The two goals came in October 13, 2013, ever since then he hasn't scored a goal for more than two years.

Well, he won't be solely missed, as we can now rely on Odion Ighalo for goals, Ighalo who is the most consistent Nigerian striker throughout this year has already started hitting the bulls eyes for the super eagles with 2 goals from five outings for the Super Eagles.

Let's look at some of Emenike Achievements and goals for Nigeria

1. His first match was against Serria Leone, 9th February 2011. Which Nigeria won by 2 goals to 1.

2. He scored his first goal against Burkina Faso in an AFCON match, which score line ended in a one all.

3. He was the highest scorer of the tournament with four goals with the goals coming against Burkina Faso, Cote de voire, Zambia, Mali.

4. He was named in the team of the tournament, AFCON 2013.

5. He has played in a world cup with Nigeria being ousted in the second round by France. He didn't score but he had an assist for Ahmed Musa to score against Argentina in the third game of the group F match.
