Absolute Hearts Video Analysis + Video of the Week

 

Hey! The weekend is here again and this is that part where I say Thank God its Friday which means it is time for another Absolute Hearts Video Analysis.

This week we have some interesting videos to analyse with you and without any further ado here they are

1.      Olamide- Real MVP: Now this is what I like to see in video, big ups to the guy responsible for this video. The whole concept of Olamide being the CEO of Taylors&Co leading and pushing his team in making big sales on the stock was just brilliant, it gave the song a very good and new meaning. Furthermore the video was very simple, no unnecessary effect and for that I rate the 8/10.

2.      D’Prince x Don Jazzy x Baby Fresh: This is a video I had to watch more than ten times when I first saw it, very clean and lovely effect. The part where Don Jazzy was actually trying to move away from the Friend zone pole to the Bae zone was the eye-catching moment of the video. Good work by DUKS and this video has a 9/10 rating.

3.      Davido ft Olamide- Money: I must say this song is a very lovely song but the video didn't do justice to the song. I would say it again, I really don't understand Sesan and the concepts he uses for his video. The only saving grace for this video is the fact that it actually showed them living good life with money. I rate this video a 5/10

4.      Masterkraft ft Flavour x Sarkodie - Finally: Nice work by Clearance on this one, the concepts of those girls dance on the beach was so on point though I didn't quite understand why the girl in the middle had to use that long scarf on herself, it looked like it was disturbing her dance. The wave of the ocean when Sarkodie was rapping was just so on point and all in all this is a nice video and the rating would be 8/10.

5.      Sheyman ft Scott King x Eldee - King of my Area: The fact that this song is titled King of my Area and it wasn't shot in Nigeria made me disregard the video. I mean Sheyman, naija na your Area, so if you are saying you are the King of your area how come we didn't see you on the street of Lagos. I rate this video 4/10.

6.      Small Doctor - Mosquito Killer: Okay I must confess after seeing this video I fell in love with the song. The scene that trip me most was the “one day o jo ku wa, I went to farm o ko”, the way the scene was depicted gave it another fresh meaning which was so on point. Frizzle & Bizzle Films did a good job with this village and yes the mosquito bat couldn’t go unnoticed, I rate this video 8/10.
