Nigeria Qualifies For Second Consecutive Finals After Mauling Mexico As Oshimen Grabs 9th Goal

Holders Nigeria have reached their second consecutive final thanks to a thrilling 4-2 victory against Mexico in Concepcion on Thursday.
Mexico started the goals spree through Kevin Magana early goal in the 8th minute, the first time in the tournament the defending Champions will be a goal down in the tournament, but they showed a resilient attitude with two quick goals from Captain Kelechi Nwakali in the 35th minute and Orji Okwonkwo in the 43rd minute which ended the first half of the encounter.

The second half started seeing the young Mexicans seeking an equalizer which came in the 60th minute from Diego Cortes who scored with remarkable solo effort, not quite long Osinachi Ebere who was a replacement for Funsho Bamigboye made it three, on the 67th minute and leading scorer Victor Osimhen made it difficult for the young Mexicans to come back as he nailed them with a late record-equaling penalty in the 83rd minute to send the Golden Eaglets into an all-African final against Mali.

The Mexicans will face Belgium on Sunday 8th November to fight for the Bronze, the kick off is 8pm Nigerian time.
Do you see Victor Osimhen breaking the record of number of goals to be scored in the u17 world cup as he has equaled Sinama Pongolle's (France) and Souleymane Coulibaly's (Ivory Coast) record of 9 goals? He only needs a goal to break the record.

I am wishing the golden eaglets a great defense to their title, the only country to have done that is Brazil, won the 1997 and 1999.
