Pamela Anderson Celebrates Her Hep C Cure

 

Pamela Anderson has decided to celebrate after she learned that she has been cured of a potentially fatal liver disease Hepatitis C, by posting a posting a nude photo to Instagram.

The photo appear to be a throwback to a sunny trip to Cannes, France, with the caption “I am CURED!!!” The actress and prominent PETA activist told People Magazine in September that she has been fighting the disease, which she contracted in 2002 after sharing a tattoo needle with then-husband Tommy Lee, with a regimen of FDA-approved antiviral medication.

There is no vaccine for the disease just extremely expensive treatments and it has been yielding very positive results. Pamela made sure to call out the unfortunately costly downside of getting Hep C treatment in her caption, saying, “I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still...#dontlosehope #itworkedforme #thereisacure”.
