ENGLAND
There were only two matches
in England on Sunday as fourteen teams had played their matches on Saturday
with only one match left to be played, Tottenham against Aston Villa.
Here's a review of matches
played yesterday in the Premier League
It was goals galore at Goodison
Park, as Everton hit six past Sunderland in a feisty encounter, Spanish teenage
Deulofeu started the rout in the 19th minute before Aruna Kone double the lead
in the 31st minute as he finished a delightful move full of one-twos and neat
touches with Romelu Lukaku. The Ivorian played a slick give-and-go with Lukaku
on the edge of the box before lashing a strike into the top corner giving Pantilimon
no chance of keeping it out, as he watched the ball stroll into the net. The
first half was poised to end with Everton two goals up but Defoe gave the black
cats a glimpse of hope as he hits a volley which slightly deflected off the toe
of Stones looping over Howard into the corner. The first half ended with the score
line at
2 - 1.
The second half began with Everton
starting the proceedings, but Sunderland start up from where they have stopped
in the first half, not quite long, in the 50th minute, Fletcher gets up above
Funes Mori and powers his header into the corner from five yards out after a
precise cross from Van Aanholt.
The goal I guess, furiated the
toffees as they were seeking their forth win of the season, they quickly responded
back on the 55th minute as Deulofeu gave a cross into the box aimed at Lukaku
but it found Coates score an own goal as he toe poke it past Pantilimon, which
gave Everton the lead 3 - 2. Not quite long, 5 minutes later, Lukaku got his
first goal of the match as Deulofeu yet again gave another assist to Lukaku who
calmly dispatched former Manchester City Keeper and slot the goal into an empty
neat taking the toffees re-establishing their two goal lead, his goal took him
to six goals in the premier league, shortly in the 62nd minute Aruna Kone
scored again and he completed his hat trick in the 76th minute to keep the game
far reach from the black cats. The game ended with the scores at 6 - 2. Aruna
Koné scored the 300th goal of the 2015-16 Premier League season and his first Hat-trick
for Everton.
The result leaves Everton
move to 9th position with 16 points and leaves Sunderland in the 19th position
with 6 points which they can move to the bottom of the table pending the game
of Aston Villa which game is on Monday.
Everton's thrashing of
Sunderland was just the fourth time in 440 matches a Sam Allardyce team has
conceded six in the Premier League.
1. Man City 6-2 BOLTON - October 18, 2003
2. Arsenal 6-2 BLACKBURN -
October 4, 2009
3. Man Utd 7-1 BLACKBURN -
November 27, 2010

Everton face a trip to West
Ham on Saturday while Sunderland host Southampton, also on Saturday.
The other match of the day
saw Southampton defeat newly promoted side Bournemouth by two goals to nil with
the goals coming from Steven Davis and Graziano Pelle.
Steven Davis volleyed
Southampton ahead in the 31st minute with a close-range finish from Ryan
Bertrand's cross.
Graziano Pelle doubled the
lead within five minutes as he headed in Dusan Tadic's pinpoint ball for his
sixth league goal of the season.
Victor Wanyama was given his
first red card after he was sent off after the break for a second bookable
offence when he needlessly tripped Bournemouth substitute Lee Tomlin in his
65th premier league appearance for Southampton.

Coach of Milan Sinisa
Mihajlovic enjoyed a happy return to Stadio Olimpico with his Milan side as
they saw off Lazio 3-1.
Mihajlovic spent six years
with Lazio as a player winning the Serie A title during his time at the club,
but he was celebrating against his former employers as AS Roma former players Andrea
Bertolacci and Philippe Mexes put Milan 2-0 in front, Carlos Bacca then added a
third before Ricardo Kishna bagged a late consolation for Lazio.
Milan had fears for
centre-back Alex after he was knocked out cold in the second half, but reports
stated the defender later regained consciousness.

Athletic Bilbao leapfrogged
Real Betis in the La Liga table by claiming a 3-1 victory over their opponents.
The visitors took the lead just eight minutes into the match as Inaki Williams scored
from the edge of the box, after Betis had failed to clear from a corner. They grabbed
a second goal on the stroke of half time as Williams scored from inside the
six-yard box as he flicked in Raul Garcia's cross.
After the break, Betis were
handed a lifeline as Williams gave away a penalty for handling the ball inside
the box, and Ruben Castro stepped up to convert from the spot. In the closing
half of the game, with three minutes left to play Garcia latched onto Aduriz's
knock down before drilling a strike into the corner to seal the points for the
visitors. The match ended with the visitors running away with a 1 - 3 win.
