It been two years since the death of Paul Walker, still
his family continues to pay tribute to the actor's legacy with some relaxing
days spent in the water.
While families throughout the country typically spend Nov. 28 offering their gratitude for the good things in their lives, the holiday marks a solemn occasion for the family of the Fast and the Furious actor, who was killed in car crash days later on Nov. 30, 2013.
Despite the emotional difficulty of the day, the Walker family forges ahead with their beloved son and brother ever present in their minds. “The Walker clan will all be spending Thanksgiving together, it’s a tough time of year for the family. I can't speak for the rest of the family, but I know the brothers plan on spending the whole weekend in the ocean Paul's love but is actually a trend that runs in the family. Cody and Caleb spend as much time as possible in the ocean kayaking, spearfishing, surfing, free diving you names it, I know it reminds them of Paul”. Felicia Walker, Paul's sister-in-law said.
In addition to seaside activities and the Paul Walker Foundation, the family remains heavily committed to the natural disaster relief effort, Reach Out Worldwide, that was dear to Paul's heart up until the day he was killed. “Cody and Paul's mom, Cheryl, are on their way to Panama today for a ROWW-related conference. Paul talked to his mom extensively about being a part of ROWW. It was actually a major part of the last conversation she had with him the day that he died as he was on his way to the toy drive” Felicia revealed to E! News.
Paul's former co-star, Tyrese Gibson, also honoured his brother with an Instagram post saying “It's still not easy...... 2 years ago... We lost our brother..... Today I'm just gonna lay low and process..... Clarity through Prayers and perspective is what I always seek and pray for, with a heavy heart I post this..... Please continue to pray for the Walker family and his real friends who was with him every single day.... They're some of the best and strongest people I know...... I know you're in heaven smiling and rooting for us all..... #RIH (Rest in heaven)” Gibson captioned a photo of the pair posed together.
