Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review

First let me say Happy New Year to you all, may this year be that year where we shall tell that success story we have always wanted to. Once again welcome to 2016 and we that been said it is Monday and it is time for the first Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review for the year.

1.      Toby Grey ft Small Doctor - Laleyi: First let me say the production of this song is top notch. Toby found the right person to feature on the song as Small Doctor gave it another dimension. A good song and I rate the song 7/10.

2.      Small Doctor - Gbera: Off his new album Omo Iya Teacher, Small Doctor serves us with Gbera. This is another good street song as Small Doctor continues to give his street fans what they want. I rate this 7/10

3.      Tipsy - Owo: A very good song from Tipsy, nice beat, good lyrics and nice concept and for that I rate the song 8/10.

4.      Oriste Femi - Nack Am: The Musical Taliban ended the past year with this groovy tune. This is a typical Oriste Femi song and the production also helped the outcome of the song. I rate the song 8/10.

5.      Yung6ix- This Year: Yung6ix is one rapper I know that has not gotten the credit he truly deserves. Every singles he drops is a hit single and This Year is another track that proves that. His style and delivery on this dope beat was just so on point and I rate the song a 9/10.

6.      Baseone: The Rookie of the Year nominee at the just concluded Headies ended 2015 by releasing two hot songs and they are;

Weyrey Re O ft Olamide X Pyhno (Remix): Baseone really showed that he is a Lyrical werey as he threw some madt punchline on this remix. With lines like “B.I.G is another version of a fatter me”, “I dey boil like the stew for your mother cooking pot” Baseone wasn't going to allow Phyno and Olamide overshadow him on his track. As expected Phyno and Olamide also brought their A-game and together they were able to give the song another dimension. I rate the song 8/10.

Skon Skon: This is a dance-able song and I must say the beat is really dope and the chorus is very groovy. He verses were not too strong but the chorus, the hook and beat was able to save the song. This song has the potential to become a hit song and that's why I am rating the song 7/10.
