Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review

It is a good day and I am feeling bright, I hope you all are feeling the same way? As announced on Wednesday that there would be a change in the Absolute Hearts Music Industry Review which would see the Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review not only being posted on Fridays but also would now air on radio.
We also said the fate of the Song of the Week and the Recommended Song for the Week would also be left in your hands, all you have to do is drop your comment below on which songs you want to be the song of the week or tweet @Blackcarpetpro using this format #Spankingnew @Blackcarpetpro Olamide BOBO. The live broadcast would come up by 5pm starting from today so make sure you are log on to https://www.blackcarpetproduction.com/listen-to-bcp-radio/ and let's do the rating together.

With that been said let go into what we have for you today;

1.      JJC - Who Be You: This is the kind of song that makes me fall in love with JJC, though I must confess I have been a long time fan just that he doesn’t just meet my expectations but not with this track. From the beat to the chorus to the verses everything about this song is dope and just for the record this song would end up been another monster hit just like Awoo. I rate this song a perfect 9/10.

2.      Harrysong ft Duncan Mighty- Akagum: Well we all know how talented Harrysong is that's why it pains me when he sings songs like this. This is a good song no doubt but with the vast talent Harrysong has I guess he shouldn’t be singing like this but what I can say is that songs like this gives him the money. I have a feeling this song won’t really go far unless of course it is supported with a very good and funny video and with that been said I rate the song 6/10.

3.      2BABA ft Phyno X Chief Obi - Coded Tinz: All brand new everything, from his name to the sound he brings, 2BABA (formerly known as 2Face) kick start the year with this hot jam titled Coded Tinz and he features Phyno and Chief Obi. There is no doubt that this is a good song from the beat to the chorus down to the verse and of course Phyno's verse was so on point. Production credit goes to Sarz and the rating would be 8/10.

4.      Omawunmi ft Angelique Kidjo- Play Na Play: First of let me say this every critics out there including me who says Omawunmi has lost it should be shout up, the wonder woman still gat it. I don’t even know where to start from with this song, is it the rhythm or the production which was done by the legendary Cohbams or the arrangement of the song itself? This is a true African sound and Omawunmi brought more than her A-game here, she gave it her all and what Angelique Kidjo did with the song is the definition of the older the wine the sweeter is becomes, she gave life to the song. I hardly say this but I am going to say it this song deserve a Grammy because it represent a true African sound and the rating is a perfect 10/10.

5.      Sexy Steel ft Olamide X Tekno - Sisi Remix: First of all big ups to Young John, he  once again came through on the production of this song as he gave this remix another feel. Olamide and Tekno of course made sure this beat didn’t waste as they helped Sexy Steel made sure that this remix sounds better than original and this is exactly what a remix should sound like. I rate this sound 8/10.

6.      Eva ft Phyno X Reminisce - Kanayo: Okay this is the Eva I fell in love with, I have never doubted her ability to do brilliant songs just that most times I wonder why she doesn’t. Kanayo is a very good song as a matter of fact it is a certified hit as Reminisce and Phyno gave it everything it needed. From the production to the chorus to the verses, this song is truly dope and I rate it 9/10.

7.      Oladips ft Reminisce- Bounce: I have to be candid I almost ignored the song I felt it wasn’t going to be dope but I am really glad I didn’t ignore it. Bounce is a very dope song from Oladips who just got signed to Reminisce's LLR/EDGE Record. The story he painted in this song was so deep and his flows were so on point that I forgot Baba Hafusa was even on the track. I rate this song 8/10.

8.      Solidstar ft Davido-  Wait: Nice beat though kinda sounds like Sanko and My body just that it has additional melody and rhythm which made it nice because it was now sounding like Reggae-Highlife. To be candid this a very nice song from Solidstar and of course Davido didn’t disappoint. With a superb video this song would places. I rate the song 7/10
