Lady Gaga has said that winning the Golden Globe award is one of the
greatest moments of her life as the
worldwide superstar took away the statue for best actress in a limited-series
or TV movie for her role as The Countess in American Horror Story: Hotel.
Gaga who was up against Kirsten
Dunst, Sarah Hay, Felicity Huffman and Queen Latifah said on stage that “I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley movie Moonstruck.
This is one of the greatest moments of my life. I wanted to be an actress before
I wanted to be a singer but music worked out first.”
Appearing to be genuinely surprised and taken aback, the musical phenomenon
thanked each and every one of her cast members, plus “American Horror Story” creator Ryan
Murphy and her family. Backstage, Gaga told press about her AHS character for which she earned her
award. “For many people, darkness is just
that, they see it as a bleak, empty space. For me darkness is an expression of
art, you can create things that are so beautiful out of something sad. I would
leave the set every day in tears, just full of relief. The countess is evil,
she’s not a good willed person, but after 100 years she never gave up, no
matter what she went through. You will fail in this business, the true test is
whether you can get back up. I love the art of darkness.” She said
Other movies that the six times Grammy winner as appeared in include Machete
Kills, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Men in Black 3.
