Woman Twerked Her Way Through Pregnancy Contractions

Amber Renee Murphy a heavily pregnant woman twerked her way through contractions in the birthing suite.

Murphy rubbed her swollen belly as she performed The Baby Momma Dance, made famous by American musician Cameron J. The video was uploaded to Facebook by a friend on December 27 and has since been viewed more than 898,000 times.

Ms Murphy gave birth at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand but before then a video shows her dance around the birthing suite during labour in a loose-fitting striped dress, an IV in her arm and hospital band around her wrist. At one point she gets down low and twerks, her pregnant belly bobbing up and down, to the lyrics: “Preggo but I'm still doing moves like Beyonce”.

Her family and friends can be heard laughing in the background throughout the 56 second video, as Ms Murphy dances in a circle by her bed. Her friend captioned the video: “Waiting for Baby to come like” using the hashtag '#babymama'.

Ms Murphy is not the only pregnant woman to dance her way through labour, In October last year a mother-to-be shunned traditional methods to combat contractions and instead danced to Silento's hit track Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).
