Arsene Wenger And Ronald Koeman Escape FA Action

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his Southampton counterpart Ronald Koeman will not face an FA misconduct charge following a post-match confrontation at the Emirates.

Wenger and Koeman shook hands at the full-time whistle following Tuesday's goalless draw in which the Gunners dominated but failed to beat goalkeeper Fraser Forster but the pair then clashed when Wenger approached the officials.

Wenger is understood to have shouted at referee Lee Mason saying “It's always the same with you”. Koeman saw his opposite number confront the referee and said to him “No, it's always the same with you, you had 10 chances to score and didn't take any of them instead you take it out on the officials

Neither manager will face any further disciplinary action for the incident.
