Lady Gaga is set to deliver the National Anthem at the Super Bowl this
coming Sunday as the singer live performance will be televised from Levi's
Stadium in the San Francisco Bay Arena minutes before kickoff.
The latest gig comes hours after The Recording Academy announced that
the 29years old would perform at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The Mother Monster
will deliver an Experiential tribute
to the late David Bowie who will also be receiving a posthumous Lifetime
Achievement Award.
Grammys executive producer Ken
Ehrlich said this in a press release “We
had already booked Lady Gaga on this year's show, but when David passed almost
in a single moment we knew we had to change direction. We immediately spoke and
agreed that she should be the one to honor David. She's perfect for it”.
Super Bowl 50 will have other famous faces like Marlee Matlin
who will perform the National Anthem in American Sign Language and the halftime
show will feature Coldplay and Beyoncé.
