Volunteers For 'Feed A Thousand In A Day' Release Press Statement To Source For More Volunteers

Feed A Thousand In A Day [FATAD2016] is a charity project being set up by some young patriotic Nigerians. The aim is to restore hope for the needy by feeding a thousand beggars on the Lagos street in a day.
The project will be launched on the 20th of March, 2015. It is an act of community service by these young Nigerians. A day will be picked from the last month of each quarter of the year of which Feed A Thousand A Day distributes food to families who live at or below poverty level begging on the streets of Lagos. We have a large population of disabled, displaced persons and children on Nigerian roads begging for money. Their Number one problem which is a necessity to all of mankind, is food. However, food items that are uncooked will be of no benefit to most of these beggars at the point of severe hunger due to the fact that they have no means of cooking it. Feed A thousand A Day is building a network of volunteers. Presently, volunteers are ten in number and would be launching this project on the aforementioned date. This project is charity oriented, as such, the volunteers do not aim to gain any form of profit but to help the poor. They (the volunteers) hope to accomplish this through the coordination of their own man labour, resources and funds/donations.  They will operate from local government to local government after being granted permission from the leaders of the area. They are accepting any form of donations by food item or by funds. You can trust that everything your money is being used for would be shown to you and only for the course of this project.
