Last week's 2-2 draw with Tottenham left them three points behind their rivals and eight behind leaders Leicester with nine games to go, prompting some fans to unfurl a banner at Hull on Tuesday that read: “Arsene, thanks for the memories but it's time to say goodbye”.
Ramsey said “It shocked me. I didn't see the banner at the time because I was injured and went straight down the tunnel. The lads weren't talking about it because the same sentiments have been expressed before. To think that an Arsenal fan has taken the trouble to bring that to a game does shock me. You see the amount of managers who get sacked these days - a few bad results and they're under pressure. But Arsene Wenger has handled it before and come out of it and I'm sure he'll do so again. I think the frustration is there because it's Leicester at the top of the Premier League and the so-called bigger teams aren't. Everybody sees this season as an opportunity missed. This squad is good enough to win the league. On our day we can beat anybody”
