Asked in the video above how work is coming along on Avengers: Infinity War, the filmmaker revealed: “We start shooting in November, so we’re literally getting the scripts from the writers in the next two weeks.”
When Anthony Russo was asked about the reasoning behind shooting both parts back to back, he explained that Avengers: Infinity War may not actually be as connected as we initially thought: “They’re both very different movies. We aren’t blocking them together because they’re one long movie broken into two, we’re blocking them together because that’s the way you can assemble the massive cast that’s required to shoot both of these movies and make it financially possible. That’s the reason for shooting them back to back.”
Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1 is set to be released on May 4th, 2018, while the second movie will follow on May 3rd, 2019.
