Kesha and Zedd to Release New Version of True Colors Together

After EDM DJ Zedd teased his Instagram followers with a picture of him and Kesha working in the studio, he has officially revealed that they are, in fact, releasing a song together. Zedd shared a photo of the artwork for True Colors, which will be a new version of the song off his 2015 album of the same name. It appears to be a wooden plaque with ornate gold detailing. There is a large Z in the middle with Zedd and Kesha written above and True Colors written at the bottom.

Kesha's ongoing legal battle with Sony and music producer Dr. Luke has become a very public affair, with stars pouring out in waves to advocate for the Die Young songstress. #FreeKesha began to trend once her court case made headlines again earlier this year, so Zedd's Music can be freedom seems to be referencing her struggles and the efforts she has gone through to get out of her contract.

Kesha and Zedd performed True Colors at Coachella, but the Los Angeles Times reported that she didn't address the crowd at all. Instead, she let the track's powerful message say all that she wanted to say. I won't apologize for the fire in my eyes, she sang. Let me show you my true colors.
