In an interview the 27years old said ahead of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko “I like being the golden goose. It's not a bad thing to be. I am the golden goose of the heavyweight division. I am the lineal heavyweight champion. They all want to be what I am, so bring them all on I say. We have just to get Wlad out of the way and then it will be a unification. I'm up for that. I'm down”
After dethroning Klitschko, Fury attended Wilder's third title defence and leapt into the ring to confront the American following a knockout of Polish challenger Artur Szpilka. Fury said “Deontay Wilder, if you're out there, bring it on chump. I like Deontay Wilder. He's like myself. We're from the same cloth. He's a fighting man. He comes for a fight. He's got a big knockout punch. He's got a big heart. He's a young man like myself and he's tall. He's the American hype. I'm the British hype. Let's get it on”.
Fury faces Klitschko in their rematch on July 9 in Manchester, while Wilder is still awaiting confirmation of his next opponent after a drug test saga saw a scheduled meeting with Alexander Povetkin in Russia scrapped.
