Wayne Enterprises' role in 'Suicide Squad' Revealed

When Suicide Squad kicks into gear and the true nemesis is revealed, Waller puts forward a risky initiative that bands together the very worst of the worst to combat the threat, thereby hatching Task Force X in all of their villainous glory. Although, it looks to be that her program only gets the green light thanks to a certain Caped Crusader.

“The one condition for their restricted freedom: Obey orders or die, a rule strictly enforced by squad leader Rick Flag his samurai Katana, and the explosive devices inserted into their necks courtesy of Wayne Enterprises. Throwing a wrench into all these plans is the tatted Gotham City arch-criminal, the Joker, and his laser-like plan to reunite with his true love, Harley, mission be damned.”

Speaking broadly ahead of the movie’s long-anticipated arrival, writer-director David Ayer touched base on the creative process that transformed a lesser-known property into a bona fide blockbuster. He said “Two years ago Suicide Squad was a tertiary [DC property]. No one knew anything about it. It was a cool little playground, and I was going to go make my movie. Now it’s like the hype bus. All of the attention has swung onto it, and it has to carry a lot more weight than it was ever intended to. I think it can sustain it. But it’s a lot of pressure. You definitely feel the pressure.”

Starring Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Viola Davis and Ben AffleckSuicide Squad is expected to land in theaters on August 5.
