Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Trailer Teaser

 

There’s been a recent trend in the movie industry to drop short teasers before the first full theatrical trailer for a given film arrives, or as some of us call them, The trailer for the trailer. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is the latest to join the party, as we’ve been given a brief glimpse at the concluding chapter in the widely successful action-horror franchise.

As we await the full trailer, which will arrive this Tuesday, August 9, the footage provided so far shows Alice riding a motorcycle as her narration declares, I’m gonna kill every last one of them.  Whether she’s referring to zombies or Albert Wesker and his Umbrella goons may remain a mystery for awhile.
If the full trailer is anything like this teaser, you can probably expect more of an emphasis on action, as opposed to scares. As a fan of the Resident Evil video game series since 1998, I would much prefer an emphasis on the latter, but the studio knows what it wants.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter arrives in theaters on January 27, 2017.
