The deal could be announced on Tuesday evening, with Sevilla paying 65 per cent of Nasri's wages for the duration of the deal. Nasri had been training separately from the Man City squad after returning from his holiday overweight, and it appears he has failed to impress manager Pep Guardiola enough to be part of his plans for the season ahead.
The midfielder, who has more than 40 caps for France, came on as a substitute in Man City's 3-1 win over West Ham on Saturday, but now looks set for a switch to the Spanish top flight. Nasri made just 12 Premier League appearances for Manchester City last season, scoring two goals.
