Remember you can
also listen to the live broadcast of this program BCP Radio every Friday 2-3pm via www.blackcarpetproduction.com Without any
further ado here are the songs we have for this week;1. Legendary Beatz: Top notch producer signed under the Star Boi imprint decides to drop some lovely and smooth tune for us and I would say I am not surprise but always blown away with the production talent of these brothers. The first song is Alkyda ft Ceeza X Ichaba and I would say I am impressed with Ichaba, I mean I already know how good Ceeza is but Ichaba blew me away on this song. The rating would be 8/10.
The
second song is Love At First Sight and once again Ichaba
did perfectly well, as expected Legendary came through on the production of
this song uping the tempo of the beat making it groovier and you just have to
appreciate the flute that was played on the beat. This might just be me but Ichaba has the Wizkid and Shaydee pattern combined together and that just makes his vocal
exceptionally brilliant. The rating would be 8/10.
2. TY Bello - Land Of Promise: I won’t waste time on this, this is a typical Ty Bello evergreen song, and you know when someone of her caliber releases a song you expect nothing but the best and that what she did on this song. The rating would be 9/10.
3. Kel - Act Like You Do: Okay this is one female emcee I have missed a lot, Kel is one of Naija's best female rappers consistent or not and she has returned with a real hip hop track titled Act Like You Do. This song contains element of the real 90s rap and as expected Kel showed us why she remains a goddess in the female rap kingdom. The rating would be 8/10,
4. Yung L - Banger: Mr Maley on Deck returns with another dope track after the success of his last track known as Pass The Aux. Banger is another decent smooth melodious song from Yung L and the rating for this song would 8/10.
5. Iyanya ft Victoria Kimani -Yoga: On a very popular and familiar reggae beat, Iyanya returns with another decent song titled Yoga and on this one he had Victoria Kimani. Not a bad song though I think the song was more about showing the talent of Victoria Kimani and I would say she didn’t disappoint. The rating would be 7/10.
6. Mz Kiss - Fuji: First of let me say I am moved by the beat, don’t mind me I just have this thing for Fuji melody. Anyway I like the fact the Mz Kiss tried to be versatile and this is not because of the beat but just an honest opinion I would say she didn’t do bad though a Dammy Krane would have been better on this track. The rating would be 7/10.
7. Koker - Give Them: Mr. Koker just keeps getting better as he returns with another club banger titled Give Them. From the production to the lyrics and delivery, everything about this song is on point and the rating would be 9/10.
8. General Pype ft. Burnaboy X Phyno - All The Loving: As we wait for his first studio album, General Pype returns with another brilliant song titled All The Loving. This is a follow up to his well received single The Seed and on this track he employed the services of Burnaboy X Phyno and together the three of them produced a powerful song. The rating would be 8/10.
9. Niniola - Jigi Jigi: She has never disappointed and this song just proves how talented Niniola is. From the production down to the delivery everything about this song is so on point, she has so much creativity in her and that's one thing that has continued to work for her. The rating for this song would be 9/10.
10. AKA ft Patoranking – Special Fi Mi: This is a brilliant song from South African rapper AKA and our very own Patoranking and I must say I am impressed, brilliant song and brilliant production. The rating would be 8/10.
Thank you...
