Casting Update On Suburbicon

It’s been a whirlwind 2016 for young Noah Jupe, and things are only looking up. Reports have it that Jupe has now enlisted for Suburbicon, the urban black comedy hailing from George Clooney.

Jupe’s addition to the starry cast is part of a two-fold casting coup, with report confirming that Glenn Fleshler has also come aboard as a reticent hitman. That means the two newcomers cap off an ensemble that boasts Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Josh Brolin and Oscar Isaac.

A crime caper at its jet-black core, Suburbicon is set against the Los Angeles of the 1950s, where a confounding mystery disturbs the quaint family town. Spotlighting the very best and very worst of humanity, it is Matt Damon’s cheating father who threatens to bring Suburbicon‘s picture-perfect image crashing down by hatching a plan to murder his long-time wife to be with her sister (Julianne Moore). Nasty questions of blackmail, revenge and betrayal begin emerging thick and fast, particularly when Damon’s eight-year-old son (Jupe) twigs on to his old man’s murderous ways.

Los Angeles will play host to George Clooney’s Suburbicon come October, and we understand Paramount is eyeing a theatrical release in 2017.
