Bulgarian
coach Mitko Dobrev has returned to
the Nigeria Professional Football League club FC Ifeanyi Ubah Technical Adviser. Dobrev, who has been missing in
action for over a month returned to the country over the weekend to
continue his coaching duties with the club.
Brazilian
coach Raphael Everton has deputised
in Dobtrev's absence leading the Nnewi- based side to fourth position in the
table. Dobrev said “I am back in Anambra
after some time out from the team. I feel good to make a big return at
this important stage of the season, I am excited everything we planned and
hoped for are gradually shaping up, I must commend the great job Everton has
done when I was away. I went to London with the President (Dr. IfeanyiUbah) to seal the deal with West Ham United and I left for Bulgaria to renew my working permit.
I appreciate the support of the management during my stay
in Bulgaria; my focus now is to make sure we continue to do well. We
have a chance to finish the season with two major trophies and we are hopeful
we will achieve our dreams, but it is important we stay together as a unit and
work hard.”
FC
IfeanyiUbah will host League champions Enyimba
International in the NPFL matchday 37 game in Nnewi this weekend.
