Joseph Yobo has said he is yet to sign for Kano Pillars or any other club in the
Nigeria Professional Football League. Yobo has teamed up with the League
Management Company as an ambassador to promote the NPFL and he was
expected initially to play the last 12 matches of the season.
With the
season almost over, the former Everton
star is yet to make an appearance despite being strongly linked with Pillars. Yobo,
however, insists he has not made any commitments to any NPFL club. According to
his post on twitter he said “I read that
I was missing in action last weekend. I have not signed for Kano pillars or any
NPFL club yet”
Yobo made
101 international appearances for the Super Eagles, making him the highest
capped Nigerian player so far in history.
