Nigeria
forward Kelechi Iheanacho’s
performance in Saturday’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford has been rated
highly by Spanish sports newspapers Marca and Sport. Iheanacho who was selected
in place of the suspended Sergio Aguero provided the assist for Kevin De Bryune for Manchester City’s first goal.
The 19yearold
then got on the score sheet, finishing off De Bryune’s initial effort which
came off the post to give City a 2-0 lead. He was however replaced by Fernando in the early part of the
second half.
Marca
awarded Iheanacho two stars for his effort and this was only bettered by Nicolas Otamendi, David Silva and Nolito who all had three stars.
