Enugu Rangers defender Kalu Orji says they are still on course to win the Nigeria
Professional Football League title despite going down to a 2-1 defeat against Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami
Stadium, Ibadan on Saturday.
The Flying Antelopes who are in the hunt to win a first league title in 32
years surrendered top position to Rivers United with the defeat and with three
games remaining before the end of the campaign, the Orji is adamant Rangers can
still emerge champions at the end of the season.
He said “Things didn’t go according to plan for us
against 3SC and we are sad to lose the game, but it’s not over for us as we
have three games to salvage the season and become champions. It’s going to be
difficult as the other clubs are desperate to win the title but we have to
believe we can do it.”
