Director S.J. Clarkson To Direct Two Episodes Of The Defenders

 

Marvel Entertainment has announced that director S.J. Clarkson will direct the first two episodes of the upcoming mini-series event, Marvel’s The Defenders.

Marvel’s Head of Television and Executive Producer, Jeph Loeb said “S.J.’s take on the material is outstanding. We loved her work on “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” and couldn’t think of a more talented and accomplished person to helm the first two episodes of ‘Marvel’s The Defenders”

The series stars are Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones. In addition Simone Missick will return as Misty Knight for the series and it has also been hinted that Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher will return as well. It was recently announced that Academy Award and Emmy nominee and Golden Globe winner Sigourney Weaver will also join the cast as the villain for the series.

The eight-episode series will premiere in 2017 along with Marvel’s Iron Fist and Marvel’s The Punisher.
