Mauricio Pochettino Sad To Drop Point
Mauricio Pochettino declared himself very disappointed after Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Leicester on Saturday. Vincent Janssen gave Spurs the lead from the penalty spot late in the first half, but Ahmed Musa levelled after the break with Leicester's only shot on target.
Spurs have now drawn three successive games in the Premier League and have not won in five matches in all competitions. Pochettino said “We were very disappointed with the way we conceded the goal, they had only one shot on target, all the stats are in our favour, and we feel very disappointed after that game. We always try and go forward, we created chances but we were not clinical in front of goal. We deserved more, we played better and were the team always trying to win the game. It's a bit of a shame that we only took one point. It's an important point for them but we have lost two points.”
One positive from the game was summer signing Janssen netting his first league goal, albeit from the penalty spot.
