Margot Robbie Begins Negotiations For Peter Rabbit

Margot Robbie is on the verge of landing a role in Sony’s live-action/CGI redo of Peter Rabbit. Negotiations are ongoing, but should the pieces fall into place, Robbie will be following in the footsteps of Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson.

There are no details of the role Margot Robbie is in contention for, it’s understand the Aussie actress is being eyed to voice a bunny.  James Corden is attached to the title part of Peter, with Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki joining him in the recording.

Gleeson holds one of the few live-action characters; he’ll play curmudgeonly farmer Mr. McGregor, who wants nothing more than to rid his land of any and all rabbits, thereby teeing up a lighthearted back-and-forth rivalry between him and Corden’s crafty bunny. Finally, Rose Byrne is said to be portraying a character known as Bea, which is likely a stand-in for Beatrix Potter, the creative mind behind the Peter Rabbit literary series on which Sony’s upcoming film is based.
