Condolences: Goodluck Jonathan Condoles With Kanu Nwankwo Over Mother’s Death

Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the former President of Nigeria, is the latest eminent Nigerian to console Nwankwo Kanu following the death of his mother, late Madam Sussan Nwannediya Kanu Iheme.
In a condolence message he personally signed and was delivered to the former Super Eagles captain and Nigeria Football Legend, Jonathan recalls the sterling qualities of Papilo's mother but urged the UNICEF Ambassador to take solace in the obvious fact that late madam Sussan Nwannediya Kanu Iheme lived an examplary life worthy of emulation.

Part of the letter reads “It is more saddening when one loses a dear one. Mothers occupy a special place in the life of any man, but you have to be comforted by the fact she ran a good race, left wonderful footprint on the sands of time…,”

While praying God to grant Nwankwo Kanu's mother's soul eternal rest, the former governor of Bayelsa State prayed God to give Kanu and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. Late madam Sussan Nwannediya Kanu Iheme died in September at the age of 82 and will be buried on Saturday December 3, 2016 at her home town, Amannagwu, Arochukwu in Abia State.
