Lazio Says Ravel Morrsion Has Not Gone AWOL

Lazio have denied reports that Ravel Morrison has gone AWOL from the Italian club. Rome newspaper Il Tempo claimed the Serie A side were planning to sue the former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder for failing to return from a trip back to England

The 23years old was said to have refused to train with Lazio's reserves and flown to London in a bid to engineer a January transfer. The Rome club, however, have issued a statement insisting the former England U21 player has been given permission to deal with personal matters.

The reads statement “Lazio announce that contrary to what was reported by the media, Ravel Morrison is in England for personal matters duly authorised by the company.” Morrison has made just four league appearances and has not played at all this season since joining Lazio on a four-year contract in a free transfer in July 2015.
