
Nasarawa United players and their coaches have been
rewarded with a plot of land each as reward for finishing second in the
Federation Cup by the state government.
Governor of
the state, Tanko Al Makura, who made
the gesture while hosting the players at the state house in Lafia on Tuesday
also announced cash gifts for the players and the coaching staff. Each player
also got N200,000 from the governor, while technical adviser of the side, Kabiru Dogo, was rewarded with N400,
000.
The Solid
Miners who are appearing in the final of the Federation Cup for the first time
lost 5-4 on penalties to FC IfeanyiUbah
after regulation time ended in a barren draw. They also missed out on a chance
of picking a CAF Confederation Cup ticket in the process.
