It Was A Well Deserved Win - Mauricio Pochettino

 

Mauricio Pochettino believes his Tottenham side fully deserved their 2-1 win over Burnley on Sunday afternoon. Ashley Barnes gave Burnley a 21st-minute lead but Dele Alli equalised for the hosts just six minutes later.

Danny Rose's second-half strike ensured Spurs secured their second successive Premier League victory to move within a point of the top four. They have a very clear philosophy on how they want to play. They want to put you in a very difficult situation during the game but I thought the team performance was very good. We deserved the victory.

He said “We started creating chances and it was unlucky how we conceded the goal but the most important thing is we always believe, always trying to play forward. It was good to feel that it doesn't affect the goal that we concede. If we analyse the 90 minutes we fully deserved the victory.”
