Powerless Finally Has A Premiere Date

 

Set in the DC Universe, Powerless, is a workplace sitcom in the same vein as The Office. Starring Vanessa Hudgens as a spunky young insurance adjuster specializing in regular-people coverage against damage caused by the crime-fighting superheroes, Powerless boasts an impressive cast made up of names like Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk.

The pilot was shown at Comic-Con this past July and while it received mixed reviews, it was apparently full of references that fans will love. Now, a premiere date for the show has been revealed by NBC, as they’ve announced that Powerless will finally reach the small screen on Thursday, February 2^nd.

Diving a bit deeper into the plot, the series will follow Hudgens’ character Emily as she stands up to one of these larger-than-life figures and accidentally becomes a cult hero in her own right, even if it’s just to her group of lovably quirky co-workers. Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers.
