Watch The First Baywatch Trailer

 

Paramount has now dropped the wild first trailer for Baywatch, Seth Gordon’s starry reimagining that takes the core elements of the hit NBC sitcom and dreams up an entirely new adventure.

With Dwayne Johnson’s musclebound Mitch Buchannon set as the pseudo-father figure, Baywatch‘s dysfunctional family is comprised of Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass and Priyanka Chopra, who will be the one disrupting the beach-related shenanigans as a greedy oil tycoon out to exploit the Bay for monetary gain. Also on board for the R-rated romp are Cathal Pendred and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. There’s room in the Baywatch ranks for the old guard, too, given both David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson are set to cameo.

Once slated for May 19, Baywatch is now expected to introduce Paramount’s Avengers of the beach on May 26, 2017.
