Al Jazeera Offers Amuneke Pundit Job For 2017 AFCON Coverage

Emmanuel Amuneke, a former African Footballer of the Year will depart his base in Spain next week for Doha Qatar, where he will be engaged in punditry duties for Beinsports, a sports program of the famous Al Jazeera cable television network during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations which kicks off in Gabon on January 14.

Nigeria's Super Eagles did not qualify to participate at the 2017 AFCON, but Amuneke service was sought by BeinSports. He said “We're still talking. But hopefully next week we should be able to come to terms and if that is done I'll leave for Qatar next week for Gabon 2017. It used to be Al Jazeera sports, but now it is Beinsports. But it is still being broadcast by Al Jazeera.”
The African Cup of Nation is scheduled for Gabon from January 14 to February 2 2016.
For the second consecutive editions, Nigeria's Super Eagles failed to qualify and will be conspicuously missing when the continent's best 16 footballing nations gather in Libreville for the tournament.
