West Ham have won
their appeal over midfielder Sofiane
Feghouli's sending off against Manchester
United which the Hammers lost 2-0 on Monday, the English FA announced
on their official website on Wednesday.
The
Algerian player was harshly sent off by Mike
Dean following a tackle on Phil
Jones. A statement on the FA's website reads: “Sofiane Feghouli has had his claim of wrongful dismissal upheld today
[Wednesday 4 January 2017] following an Independent Regulatory Commission
hearing. The West Ham United player was sent off for serious foul play during
the game against Manchester United on Monday 2 January 2017. The standard
three-match suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect.”
