Paul Clement has been
confirmed as Swansea's new head
coach. The 44years old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract and joins City
as successor to sacked American Bob
Bradley. Clement has worked as Carlo
Ancelotti's assistant at Chelsea,
Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich and had an eight-month spell in charge of Derby last season before he was sacked
with the club fifth in the Championship.
His backroom
staff at the Liberty Stadium will include Nigel
Gibbs, who is leaving a role with Tottenham's
academy to become assistant coach, and new head of physical performance Karl Halabi. Clement is Swansea's third
permanent boss already this season and arrives with the club bottom of the
Premier League at its halfway stage.
He will be
at Selhurst Park for Wednesday night's game against Crystal Palace.
