A Sequence Of Black Panther Will Be Staged In South Korea

Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther movie has drafted up plans for a suitably huge chase sequence in Busan, South Korea. Citing sources from within local production company Mr. Romance Film, the report claims said sequence is a thrilling car chase scene involving the protagonist and the villain.

Darrin Prescott, second unit director on Marvel’s Black Panther, reportedly approached the Powers That Be about using the fishing port of Busan as a potential shooting location last year, and the rest is history. Thanks to the likes of Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange, the MCU is beginning to incorporate scores of international locations, and it’s refreshing to learn that Coogler’s Black Panther film won’t be limited to the cutting-edge nation of Wakanda.

Filming is officially underway on Marvel’s Black Panther ahead of its release on February 16th, 2018. As things stand, Coogler’s origin story is the final standalone pic to open before the advent of Avengers: Infinity War.

Also on board alongside Boseman and Michael B. Jordan are Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Florence Kasumba, Sterling K. Brown, and John Kani.
