Alfie Barker has been
handed a six-month ban after abusing Bournemouth's
Harry Arter about the death of his baby daughter. Barker has been suspended
from all football activity until August 1 and fined £250 for a series of tweets
he sent to Arter during Bournemouth's 3-3
draw with Arsenal on January.
The ex-Hitchin Town player posted on his
Twitter account atleast you didn't lose
your kid and added in another tweet big
hype just for a disappointment like the 9 months leading up to your childs
birth.
Bournemouth
midfielder Arter and his partner Rachel's
daughter Renee was stillborn in
December 2015. The offensive tweets were reported directly to Twitter after
Bournemouth and Arter became aware of the posts and 12 hours later they were
deleted.
Barker
claimed his Twitter account had been hacked before apologising for what he
called his disgraceful comments.
However, the 18years old was sacked by both Hitchin and Codicote FC where he was on loan and had scored 20 goals in 19
appearances.
